Welcome

Welcome to the Conklin Volunteer Fire Department.  We are a 100% volunteer organization staffed by members of the Conklin community we serve.  We provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical services (EMS) to the approximately 5,400 people living within the Town of Conklin.

The town covers 23.5 square miles and is a mix of residential, light commercial, agricultural, and woodland.  The town is also home to the Broome Corporate Park, a campus of commercial and industrial facilities.

Our services are provided out of two fire stations.  Station 1 is located at 1034 Conklin Road and is home to a 104’ aerial tower truck, a squad, a Connector One rescue boat, a utility vehicle, and an EMS vehicle.  Station 2, located at 5 Conklin Forks Road is home to a fast attack engine, a pumper-tanker, a brush truck, a Zodiac inflatable rescue boat, and an ATV.  A third station on Pierce Creek Road is currently used for storage.

We train on the first, third and fourth Mondays of each month, and conduct a business meeting on the second Monday of each month.  The Board of Directors meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month.

If you are at least 16 years of age and have been a resident of the Town of Conklin for at least 6 months, we can use your help!  You don’t have to put on an air pack and go into a burning building to provide much needed assistance.  There is a job for almost everyone, and if you are interested in joining the fire department or the Auxiliary, together we will find a task that is within your comfort level and physical abilities.

For more information, contact our Membership Committee HERE, or download a printable membership application HERE.  Or, stop by Station 1 on Monday night of any month at 7 PM to meet us.
